THE BOARD

The Heart Behind the Restoration

We bring decades of professional expertise in law, finance, development, communications, and community organizing. But more than credentials, we bring personal legacy. Many of us have family stories intertwined with the very blocks we're restoring. This isn't just a job—it's our responsibility to the ancestors who came before and the generations who will inherit what we build today.

Every decision we make is guided by the Community vision, the Community values, and the community voices. This is what it looks like when we control our own healing.

Tai Dunson-Strane

Treasurer

Tai Dunson-Strane is the Assistant Director of Production for the Affordable Rental Housing Division at Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS). In this role, Tai leads the oversight of the entire transaction lifecycle for affordable rental housing developments across Oregon, from project award to construction completion and closeout. His work ensures that affordable housing projects meet high standards of quality and compliance, supporting the state’s mission to expand affordable housing opportunities.

Before rejoining OHCS, Tai served as a Project Manager at Related Northwest, where he directed the full spectrum of the development process for affordable housing projects, from initial concept through to final construction and closeout.

Tai’s earlier experience includes his role as a Tax Credit Manager at OHCS, where he managed new development loan production and ensured adherence to the IRS Section 42 Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program. His expertise in tax credit financing and affordable housing policies was instrumental in updating OHCS’s annual Qualified Allocation Plan.

Tai holds dual master’s degrees: a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa and a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) from Long Island University. He actively contributes to his community by serving on the Metro Transit-Oriented Development Housing Funding Advisory Board and the Williams & Russell Community Development Corporation (CDC).
