THE TEAM

The Heart Behind the Restoration

We bring decades of professional expertise in law, finance, development, communications, and community organizing. But more than credentials, we bring personal legacy. Many of us have family stories intertwined with the very blocks we're restoring. This isn't just a job—it's our responsibility to the ancestors who came before and the generations who will inherit what we build today.

Ta' Neshia Renae`

Deputy Executive Director

Ta’ Neshia Renae is the Deputy Executive Director of the Williams & Russell Community Development Corporation, where she leads operations, programs, and strategic partnerships for one of the first large-scale reparative development projects in the country.

Ta’ Neshia brings a multidisciplinary background in operations, community engagement, housing advocacy, and systems building. She is a military veteran and has held leadership roles across nonprofit, community, and civic spaces, including serving as Chair of the NAACP Housing Committee, a board member of the Portland Housing Center, and a member of the N/NE Neighborhood Housing Strategy Oversight Committee. Across these roles, her work has consistently focused on expanding access to housing, strengthening community stability, and advancing equitable development practices.

At WRCDC, she is responsible for translating vision into execution, designing and implementing the operational structure, partnerships, and workflows needed to deliver affordable housing, a business Hub, and community plaza. She works across government agencies, funders, and community partners to ensure alignment, accountability, and long-term sustainability.

Every decision we make is guided by Black vision, Black values, and Black community voice. This is what it looks like when we control our own healing.
